Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to Bhalukpong

Welcome to Guwahati, the gateway to the Northeast. Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, you will be transferred to Bhalukpong, a medieval town renowned for its thrilling activities. The Kameng River flows through the town, offering numerous opportunities for adventure. Check in to the hotel and take the rest of the day at your own pace. You can indulge in some adventurous activities like river rafting or canoeing, on the banks of River Kameng. Return to the hotel at your convenience.

Day 2

Transfer from Bhalukpong to Dirang | Explore the hubs of tribes and diverse culture

Check out and start your journey to Dirang. En route, stop at Tippi Orchid Research Centre, known as the orchid paradise, housing over 500 orchid species. Following this, head to Nag Mandir to honour the snake deity and take in the calm atmosphere. Proceed with your journey, check into the hotel in Dirang and rest before starting Dirang's city tour. Later, visit the apple and Kiwi farms (seasonal), Dirang Monastery, and Kalachakra Monastery. Get transferred back to the hotel to spend the night.

Day 3

Transfer from Dirang to Tawang | Embrace the Himalayan Heights

Check out from the hotel and get transferred to Tawang, located at an elevation of 10,000 ft. Along the journey, marvel at the stunning views of Sela Pass, adorned with snow-capped peaks and the pristine Sela Lake sparkling below. Visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial to learn about the history of the 1962 Sino-Indian War. Continue your journey to Nuranang Falls and be amazed by the pristine waters and lush green surroundings. Later, get transferred to the hotel for check-in and relax for the day.

Day 4

Tawang Local Sightseeing with Bum La Pass (optional) | Visit the biggest Buddhist Monastery in India

Today is the day of local sightseeing in Tawan. Before this, you can opt for a short visit to Bum La Pass, the state's highest mountain pass. Continuing your journey, explore Tawang's famous Shonga-tser Lake or Madhuri Lake named after Madhuri Dixit. Also, visit Taktsang Gompa for its serene atmosphere. Lastly, proceed to Tawang Monastery, India's largest Buddhist monastery. After the sightseeing, get transferred back to your hotel and rest.

Day 5

Transfer from Tawang to Bomdila | Get the views of West Kameng Valley eloped in the clouds

In the morning, check out and begin your drive to Bomdila. Upon arrival in Bomdila, check into the hotel and relax for a while before starting your visit to Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa) and Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa). After exploring the monasteries, get transferred back to the hotel. In the evening, you can take a short stroll around the town on your own to glimpse its unique culture and traditions.

Day 6

Journey from Bomdila to Guwahati

Check out from the hotel and embark on your journey to Guwahati. Experience a scenic drive through the diverse terrains of Arunachal Pradesh, passing charming towns and soaking in natural beauty. Upon reaching Guwahati, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. You can explore some vibrant markets like Fancy Market and Paltan Market for shopping delights. Return to the hotel on your own for an overnight stay.

Day 7

Departure

Check out from your hotel and get transferred to the Guwahati Airport or railway station for your journey back home. On the way, visit Kamakhya Temple, an important Hindu pilgrimage site where you can seek blessings from Goddess Kamakhya and get immersed in the peaceful experience of it.
